Former but Forever ELA and Reading Teacher. Instructional Design & Technology MEd. Instructional Technology Specialist & more! I am definitely a constant learner who is always looking for ways to incorporate tech in meaningful, scalable, and realistic ways that can benefit all learners. I am also very intrigued by the shifts and the conversations of change in education. It is nice to see a little bit of pressure being put on the one-size-fits-all (except the “different” student) model!
I love, love, love collaborating with teachers to help them find ways to use digital tools to enhance and transform instruction. I also love, love, love working with students and learning about what works for them and what makes them light up. Honestly, I think I learn more from them than they do from me. I am an advocate of digital learning, connecting, and access and just what that means for our students. I am also passionate about how we are challenging ourselves in this field and our students to reach a deeper level of thinking, understanding, and expression.
Techful Tidbits will be about digital tools & integration strategies for education, what I have observed and what is working for my school and students, but also other things that impact this space and my world. Hence the “and more” …Instructional strategies, PD…The good, the bad, and the NO!
A little more personal: I don’t own any pets but I do have a son and an amazing partner who I hope to spend the rest of my life with.
